. High temperatures averaged from 78.8 in the West to 76.9
in the East. Departure from normal high temperatures ranged from 2 degrees cooler than normal in the West
to 2.1 degrees cooler than normal in the East. Low temperatures averaged from 63.9 degrees in the West
to 54.6 degrees in the East. Departure from normal low temperature ranged from 5.7 degrees warmer than normal
in the West to 1.4 degrees warmer than normal in the East. The extreme high temperature for the period
was 95.5 at Union county and the extreme low was 20.3 at Lewis county.
Precipitation (liq. equ.) for the period totaled 16.80 inches statewide which was 0.94 inches below normal
and 94.7% of normal. Precipitation totals by climate division, West 17.44 inches, Central 16.65 inches,
Bluegrass 18.03 inches and East 15.06 inches, which was -0.80, -1.43, 0.97 and -2.53 inches respectively from normal.
By station, precipitation totals ranged from a low of 9.62 inches at Johnson county to a high of 22.97
inches at Caldwell county. Dewpoint temperatures for the state averaged near 58.4 degrees.
