in the East. Departure from normal high temperatures ranged from 2.5 degrees cooler than normal in the West
to 2.6 degrees cooler than normal in the East. Low temperatures averaged from 68.6 degrees in the West
to 58.9 degrees in the East. Departure from normal low temperature ranged from 6.5 degrees warmer than normal
in the West to 1.5 degrees warmer than normal in the East. The extreme high temperature for the period
was 95.5 at Union county and the extreme low was 32.0 at Lewis county.
Precipitation (liq. equ.) for the period totaled 13.66 inches statewide which was 0.28 inches above normal
and 102.1% of normal. Precipitation totals by climate division, West 13.40 inches, Central 13.57 inches,
Bluegrass 14.90 inches and East 12.76 inches, which was 0.12, -0.07, 1.83 and -0.76 inches respectively from normal.
By station, precipitation totals ranged from a low of 7.64 inches at Johnson county to a high of 19.63
inches at Lewis county. Dewpoint temperatures for the state averaged near 63.0 degrees.
